Depending on where the map feature was saved in Intterra, there are a couple of different possibilities for answers:
If it is a feature that has already been saved to the map in Intterra (and, if you aren't sure, try this):
- Click on the map feature icon.
- In the Info Panel that appears, look for the feature you want to edit.
- Click on the feature name and look for the Geometry tab. This tab has two options: edit and copy. NOTE: If you don't see the Edit option, you are not currently in an editable map layer. You are seeing this feature because the Display map layer is activated in the Layers list. If you have permission to edit the map in Intterra, you can still get to the editable version of the map. It's not difficult; it just takes a couple of extra steps because the editable map is not available for everyone to update.
- Select edit. Follow the prompts to move the map feature icon, or simple add or edit existing information within the other tabs.
- Select the floppy disc icon to save.
If the Info Panel did not pop up when you clicked on the map feature icon, it is most likely a feature that is either part of the basemap image or part of a mapped data layer that was not created in Intterra. No problem, you can probably add it to your Intterra map (if you have permission to edit the map). There are a couple options from this point, and one of these most likely fits your situation.
- You have the option to use what you see on the basemap as a guide for the location of the feature that you want to add to your agency's Intterra map.
- You can copy the point or shape from a layer into Intterra.
