      Layer Export Tool

      In any Intterra workspace, it is possible to export whatever has been mapped on an incident to a geospatial PDF (GeoPDF), to a file geodatabase (GDB), or to a zipped set of shapefiles (SHP).

      Steps
      The Layer Export Tool is available in the Manage Layers Menu.  Select the area you want to export by zooming and panning to your area of interest (whatever is visible on the screen is what will export).
      1. Click on the Gear icon. 
      2. Click on Export Layers.
      3. Check the layers you want to export.  NOTE: There is a limit set by the providing GIS webservice (normally 1,000-point features per layer, but set higher in some layers, i.e. 3,000 for structure risk).  If you need more details than you can get in the current view, zoom in.  The number is displayed in (#).
      4. Enter the recipient email address(es).  If more than one address is listed, separate each one with a comma.
      5. Select the Export Format - GeoPDF, File GDB, or SHP.
      6. Enter a File Name (GeoPDF only).
      7. Select an Export Size (GeoPDF only). 
      8. Select an Orientation (GeoPDF and certain export sizes only). 
      9. Click Export.

      Notes and Tips

      • The following layer formats are not supported,
        • KML format layers are not supported.  There are only a couple - InciWeb, NIROPS Scanner Requests).  For KML format files there is no 'layer type not supported' message as there is for non-kml formats and the blank pdf is generated without any error message for the user.  
        • Export of user-added layers of any format is not supported. 
      • For GeoPDF exports, 
        • Some AGOL and Portal symbols do not come through, many still do. These layers can be exported as a File Geodatabase or a Shapefile.
        • Most Imagery layers do not work in a GeoPDF.  However, some imagery basemaps (from the selector at the top of the layers menu) do export (see below).
        • None of the USGS basemaps are supported due to a sharing restriction from USGS.
        • GeoPDF's with larger extents, when zooming in some symbology will become fuzzy.
        • Only features in the current visible map extent will sent to the PDF generation
          service. Occasionally, external services will block export requests or limit the
          number of features allowed.  Some source layers may cause the export to fail and users will receive an export request error email.  Please close the dialog and adjusting your map extent and zoom level to get a more accurate export of the data.
