Accessing Intterra-Hosted Layers in ArcGIS Pro

GIS professionals can access Intterra-hosted layers using ArcGIS Pro, allowing access to powerful ESRI tools for editing and providing access to domain values and attachments.

What Are Intterra-Hosted Layers?

Intterra-hosted layers are map layers stored on Intterra's servers. These layers often contain specialized data for emergency management, wildfire response, or other public safety applications.

Make sure you have:

  • ArcGIS Pro installed on your computer
  • Your Intterra credentials (username and password)
  • The specific path or URL for the Intterra-hosted layer you want to access

Steps to Access Intterra-Hosted Layers

    • Start ArcGIS Pro and open your project
  2. Add Data
    • Click on the "Insert" tab in the top ribbon
    • Select "Connections" and hover over “Server" and click “New ArcGIS Server” from the drop-down
  3. Set Up the Server Connection
    • For the server URL, enter the Intterra server address (get this from your Intterra contact if you don't have it)
  4. Enter Your Credentials
    • For Authentication, Enter your Intterra username and password
    • Optionally, save the login to the Windows Credential Manager or the Connection file
    • Click "OK"
  5. Access the Layer
    • In the Catalog pane, expand the new server connection you just created in the Servers tab
    • Navigate to the specific layer you want to add from the specific folder the data you are looking for is in
    • Drag the layer into your map or right-click and choose "Add to Current Map"

Tips

  • Save your project after adding the Intterra layer to keep the connection for future use
  • If you can't connect, double-check your credentials and the server URL
  • Some layers may take a moment to load, especially if they contain a lot of data
