What is the difference between Maps, Portal, and Analytics (when I log in)?

When you first log in you will notice these three selections in your Application launch dropdown.
  1. Maps is the new selection for "Intterra" and will launch you in the map based app.
  2. Portal is the selection for The Latest and your agency's Guides tabs.
  3. Analytics is the selection for the new dashboard set.  Currently, the Analytics tools are positioned for Metro clients. 
Additionally, when selecting the workspace button in the Suite, the applications will also be listed at the top of the selector, above the workspaces:
NOTE:  The launch button is "smart" -- it recalls the last application you were in when you logged out or left the page; the next time you return, the button will display the last application you were in and allow an easy one-step click to launch.  This has been enabled for two reasons:
  • We know users need fewer clicks to get into the software, and
  • We are unveiling a new Analytics Dashboard toolset with this deployment (which is separate from the map-centric workspaces' look and feel).
Example: If you are a client that has both Intterra and the new Analytics tools, whichever one you were last using (when you return to the same device and browser) will be returned.
