How can I export to a KML format?

Users may have a need to export data from Intterra for use in an app or device that requires a KML format.

The Layer Export Tool does not support export to KML directly, but there are a couple simple options.

First, use the Layer Export Tool to export to a shape file format.

Next, convert the file to KML.

Google Earth Pro will import shape files (unzipped). The files can viewed and then saved as KML.
There are several web services. https://mygeodata.cloud/converter/shp-to-kml is one that works well and will accept zipped files directly from the export tool.
ESRI applications will using the exports shape or gdb will export shape files to KML.

Note: Controlling symbology is very limited with KML format using the first two options.
