Why is it recommended that I "Always" allow location access for the Field Tool?

While it is not truly required that you set your location settings in your Field Tool to Always, it is highly recommended.  By selecting Always, you are ensuring that your location is tracked during use and that the data you collect is auto-cached.

 

We understand that users are often reluctant to select Always for many apps and, if you feel this way, you can choose While Using the App instead.  Just be aware that your location will not be tracked and data will not be auto-cached if your device goes to sleep or if you open a different app.
